I have a 2000 F250 7.3. When I bought the truck the door lock accuators were bad. I replaced the accuators on the front doors and they work fine when you use the door lock switch on the doors. Go up and down just fine. The problem is if you lock the doors with the switch or manually, and then close the doors, you can not unlock with the key. The lock will go up about halfway and stop. I have tried every possibility. If I close the doors and lock the door with the key, it will work just fine. If I close the door and use the power door lock, it will work just fine. The problem comes when locking the door and then closing the door. It has something to do with the latch its self?

This has me stumped????????

 

I don't have an answer, but can you take the inside door panel off so that you can see the locking mechanism? If you can, stay inside the truck and see what is moving when you use the fob ir the key.
