I think LMC (aka "Likely Made in China") is accustomed to refunding money to people who are unsatisfied with their products. They probably do so much volume, and have so many customers whose parts somehow manage to fit, or they just don't care about the quality, that they can afford to issue refunds to those who complain, and indeed, it's not worth their while to process the return of the actual part. Thus is the economics of high-volume, cheaply-made cr@p. It's also why so many cr@ptastic quality reman FLAPS parts have "lifetime warranties".
^^^I agree with your theory sir. Now to either find one that will fit or go with spray in bed liner. I know if I go with spray in bed liner I loose insulation and noise reduction but I know it will fit. Any thoughts gentlemen?
The drop-in bed liners abrade the paint off and trap water, both resulting in rust. Use with caution.
Thank you for your input ctubutis. I understand what you are saying about the drop in bed liners, I used one in the bed of an '88 F250 with those exact results. Honestly I am considering the spray in bed liner, if I sprayed it in I know I wouldn't have any wrinkles to contend with.....hopefully LOL. Any thoughts on the spray in type bed liner? Especially thoughts on surface preparation.
There are others here who have more recent experience with that stuff than I do, perhaps they can answer your questions on spray-in liners as I don't really recall the details at the moment, sorry.
