Code P0713 Help
My 2010 F 250 V10 with 119,000 miles is showing Code P0713. I see that it is for the trans temp sending unit but can anyone tell me what are the signs and symptoms for this code? It started with the trans temp gauge not working and then it started to shift bad i.e. it feels like it slips and then jerks when shifting gears. Could the bad sending unit cause the shifting problems? Is this a common problem with this year?

The sensor is inside the pan.
Symptoms of a bad sensor is first the gauge stops working, then usually the shifts get bad. It will also set a P0713 code. It's a pretty common problem with all years of the TorqShift transmission.
