F350 tailgate

Does anyone know if the f350 flairside tailgate is the same as the f250's? And is it possibly the same as the later 73-79 1/2 tons?

I believe by the 1973-79 time frame, they were the same. The older ones such as 1953-60 were indeed different, although I do know a few 1953-56 F250 owners in the past (me included) who bought F100 tailgates for their F250s. They fit, but aren't quite as wide. wasn't building a show truck so a little incorrectness didn't both me any.

Ford replaced ALL the 1953/56 Flareside bed parts including the rear fenders with 1957 parts for use as "service part replacements." 1957 parts also used thru 1979.

BAAD-8340700-A was the original 8' & 9' bed 1953/56 part number. It was replaced by B7D-8340700-A in 1957, replaced by D8TZ-8340700-A in 1978.

BAAA-8340700-A was the original 1953/56 6 1/2' bed part number. It was replaced in 1957 by B7C-8340700-A
