It looks like you have your work cut out for you. What is the condition of the motor? If you need any suggestions on parts, I'd be happy to share the sources that I found. Good luck.

Hi Marcus, Welcome to FTE. That's a really rust free looking truck you got there. AND you do indeed have some formidable work ahead of yourself. First off that is a 1 1/2 ton truck, not a one ton. It will have a 131" wheelbase and takes a 9' stakebed. The outer duals are missing, as it would have for sure been a dual wheeled truck. I see a lot of them listed as one tons, so seller may have called it that. Where do you live? I know a guy in Eastern Washington who has the tires and wheels you'd need for cheap. I have some good hood sides in my attic I would part with and I have a factory script stake bed that I don't really want to sell right now, but as time goes by I could be worn down. The big trucks like yours are still quite abundant here in the West as hot rodders and most others don't desire them as they are slow, expensive to fix (brake parts etc) and don't fit in the garage. Some of us here really like the bigger stuff, but we aren't exactly what you'd call normal. Good luck and keep an eye on Craigslist for parts. Once we know your location we can help with parts as well as answer questions. Nice photos, by the way.
yes, I am not a truck person by trade, so I don't know much about them at all, than you for the info. I bought it off a craigs list add and had it shipped out here from montana farm. I am in redlands california, but the truck is in thousand oaks california (at a shop). I am not doing the restore my self. But the restore is going to be a different type, not a original restore, not a hot rod, not a rat rod. I want to have it look like an old orange grove truck that just came out of the groves from the 30's. So the outside has to look as old and original as possible (hence the need to find a old stakebed frame for it.)But I want him to make the suspension, rear end, engine, brakes all modern so it's safe and easy to drive. The goal is to use it in parade and shows and for photos backgrounds in the orange groves out here. I actually asked my guy about the second wheel and he said that some came like this.? As for the wheels, thank you for your offer, please pass along the info to me and I will get it to my guy. As for the hood sides, they are there just not visible, they are inside the cab right now. What is the factory script stake bed you talk about? is that the part I am looking for?thanks!!

Thanks, the motor was not for sale with the truck, I plan on having my restoration guy put a new crate motor in the truck. Yes, currently I am helping my guy track down a bed frame for it, I would very much appreciate your help on finding one!
My restoration has stalled more than once in the recent past. It seems that whenever I need to enlist professional assistance that's what happens. My project truck becomes a project for everyone instead of being fit into their normal work calendar. None-the-less, I keep things moving on as many fronts as possible. I thought that I would post a recent picture which shows the pieces that I have been able to put together. The motor runs but hasn't moved the truck yet.
