Not again!!!%&@@

Just my luck, my truck wasn't running half bad getting 14mpg down from 16mpg a month ago. started getting hard to start and smoking real bad on start up and short cycling glow plugs. in knew the PO installed autolite gps and I wanted them gone in the worst way. I just bought the truck in april it is a 1992 f350 crew dually 4x4 7.3 idi w/banks sidewinder turbo/ hypermax intercooler/ 5 spd stick.
I knew the process was going to be tough with all the intercooler pipes and turbo etc.. so I figured if im going to it lets do it all.
I ordered new Delphi BB injectors from pensecola diesel.
New zd9 beru gps, new fuel return kit, new lift pump.
After a day and half of cussing the autolite gps for being hard to remove I finally had the old girl buttoned back up.
didn't take too long to crank her up because I clamped the fuel lines under the truck along the frame rail before disassembly. after 1 minute or so of idle time she was still bellowing blue smoke not so much at idle but upon acceleration. so bad I could choke out the mosquitos for 100 yards.
I let it idle 5 minutes or so and drove it down my lane 1/4 mile and romped it coming back. I wasn't impressed at all a ton of blue smoke and felt like missing at 1500 rpm. it was getting dark by the time I decided to clean up tools. its not my first idi and not my first time installing gps and injectors. I was careful as one should be installing all.
wonder what I missed. and why so much blue smoke ? maybe I still have air in the lines? maybe weak IP not popping the injector properly? timing need advanced a little?
throw some ideas folks. appreciated

Blue smoke is oil. Either rings are bad or the turbo is sucking oil from some where. Like the oil supply to the turbo bearings

An idi will burn oil all day and you would never know it by the exhaust. Would have to be after combustion, ie exhaust valves or turbo seal. Is it for sure blue? Most of the time dealing with diesels when people say blue its not "blue" My gut says IP

apparently you did not read the stickies up on the top of the page.
Parts Vendors. the good, the bad, and the ugly.
the very first post is STAY VERY FAR AWAY FROM PENSICOLA DIESEL,
once upon a time, they had decent products. but over the past 6-7 years, their reputation has gone so far into the sewer it reeks.
there have been reports of injectors coming from them as "rebuilt" that were just cleaned and repackaged.

Got up this morning and fashioned a wrench to loosen IP. All night it bothered me that this truck didn't smoke before. And this was a heavy billowing of unburnt diesel. Advanced timing a tick. Viola! Fired her up just a brief puff and cleared up nice. Drove 65 miles no evidence of smoking. Thanks guys!
