i Got an 88 f150 custom Which i want To hook an Alarm up To When a door is opened and add extra switches To trigger for The tailgate. any help appreciated.
Its Not for The truck but for Whats in it. i have it Set up with a canopy and sleeper. there Are valuables that get left inside and i want To protect them The best i can. You all know How people can be if They See a vehicle off The road with Good **** in it un attended.
i was thinking of putting a dome switch in The tailgate and t it To The dome switch in door.
OK, so my alarm is set up to bypass the dome light fuse and will sound if any light turns on or if the ignition is turned or if power is drawn from the DC port.
The alarm is a 2 wire siren with shock sensors, Ground & Hot.
How would I install a pin switch to trigger the alarm? Could I hook a tilt sensor to the red wire?
So The red wire is tapped in To The Blue 15 above it To get a constant Power feed. it is Set Where it will still work if The fuse blew. anything that sets The intermitter To close will Set it off. How would i go at adding a Pin switch To Do This?
What is an intermitter? What is a pin switch? I think nobody is responding to your post because it is not clear what you are trying to do. I am guessing you have a siren of some sort and are trying to make your own alarm system, but I am not sure.
a Pin switch is like Whats in The door and turns dome light on When open. i Need Some sort of current To Set The Alarm off. Not sure How To hook up a switch To Do This tho.
Its a siren with all The Alarm Features inside, Yes Its an Alarm. it monitors The voltage So all i Gotta Do is hook a switch in The back, but How Do i Do that without causing a short?
Like i said earlier, Its a 2 wire Syste and does Not gave a hood/trunk wire.
Still not sure what you are talking about, but where you tapped the fuse box for power....
you said it has power even with fuse removed. Put an inline fuse there before you burn your truck up.
