Automatic transmission
I pulled my 460 a couple of months ago for a refreshening. Did nothing to the tranny. Now I cant get my tranny to engage in park. Regardless of what I put the tranny in it doesn't engage the driveline. Automatic transmission. Engine is still removed. I hope it is a simple linkage adjustment. Anyone had experience with this?

So, you're saying the engine is out of the truck and the tranny is still in place, correct?
More than likely the transmission is hanging down a little, this knocks all the linkage alignment out of kilter.
Everything should return to normal when the engine is put back in.

Sounds like your shift linkage isn't properly adjusted - if you detach the shift lever and just move the control lever on the transmission by hand, can you get it all the way into park? Like Mike said, adjustment will probably self-correct once the engine is back in place.

or you can prop the trans up.. did this on mine with two long bolts through both sides of the trans/bellhousing and a 2x4 ran across the frame rails.. kept the front of the trans from hanging down, and I was able to use Park..but I still kept the wheels blocked for extra safety.
