Dash light problems
I am having several issues with the lighting in my 1977 f150:
When I turn my dash lights on, my left turn signal is the only light that turns on. I've seen this in several trucks of this vintage so someone has to know what the issue is.
I have no power going into the fuse for my instrument cluster. It looks to me like the fuse is after the switch in this circuit because when I put 12v to the fuse it doesn't make a difference whether the switch is on or not. The fuse shows continuity so we can rule that out.
This may or may not be related to the above issue my front running lights aren't working with light switch. In my 89 and 94 pickups the the running lights are in the same circuit as the dash lights. I'm assuming it's the same here. However the rest of of the lights on the truck work and it looks like the marker lights are wired in series with the front running lights. The driver's side running light works when the hazards are on.
It looks to me like all the wiring behind the dash hasn't been *******ized throughout the life of the truck with the exception of the cigarette lighter not being hooked up and the neutral safety switch being bypassed.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated
