ok so here recently i noticed that sometimes when i go to start my truck the oil pressure guage reads pretty low. it will usually slowly go up alittle bit and then eventually jump back to its normal spot and be fine after i drive around alittle. she blows blue and sometimes white smoke (if it cranks for longer than usual) when i start it but that happened before i noticed this. the only time i noticed anything different is one day i went to start it and this time the oil pressure was extremely low, almost none and i knew right away because the truck sounded weird and blew alot more smoke than usual until it cleared up. are these symptoms of a bad hpop? i was thinking about sending mine in soon to get the terminator t-500 rebuild done on it anyway. or could this be another problem? thanks in advance for any help
I have a feeling Glenn may be spot on AND I would hook up a temporary oil pressure gauge.I also believe either he has a failing oil pressure switch for the gauge OR worn low pressure oil pump. I believe the switch most likely tho.
Now what all goes into checking/replacing the orings? Just un bolt the valve covers and take the injectors out? And add far as the oil pressure gauge where/how does that get hooked up? Still fairly new and learning here
