Not a particular fan of LMC, seem to recall a similar thread where members mentioned buying the switch and key assembly from LMC with no complaints, probly find it cost less?
I have found DC usually offers quality merchandise so I tend to use them for some replacement parts so I purchased the switch and key assembly for the 65's from them and did not have any problems with the installation.
Imagine other member's will be chiming-in so may want wait for additional comments.
I hate to be negative, but my ignition stuff from LMC isn't that good.
I bought the whole setup: bezel, switch mount, cylinder w/ keys, ignition switch, socket, etc. The key feels like a pull tab off of a beer can, cheap, it bugs me every time I put it in the ignition. And the switch doesn't snap back to "ON" after "Start" so I have to consciously turn it back, really quickly, to the ON position, otherwise the starter keeps going of course. And every once in a while I turn it back too far to the OFF position and shut the freaking thing off, and have to start the whole touchy process all over again.
As you can tell, it really bugs me.
Found the key assembly can be installed incorrectly, ask me how I know?? PO had installed the key assembly incorrectly and there were occasions where the key would fall from the ignition switch and flop around on the floor, or when I turned the key to the off position the engine will continue to run. After close inspection I realized the key assembly can only be install in the switch one way which is the reverse of removal.
In addition, major pet peeve is to order parts from online supplier only to receive an email few days later advising the item is on backorder. I now call and have the sales person visually check to insure item is in stock.
