Yeah theses 4r100's have not been kind to me. I think me and you should get together and dive into one of these things and figure them out. I hate not knowing what is wrong. I'll get up there to see you if I can get it running. Thought about getting up with you and trying to make it to the riff raff thing in the Rockies.
I'm suspecting the PCM is not telling the transmission to shift, thus the transmission is acting how Mark described. I'm thinking that this is a result of the PCM not receiving input from which ever sensors it uses to determine the appropriate gear. So back to my previous question...

I saw where you posted the codes you picked up but I don't know if you have checked to see what the sensors are telling the PCM.
I unplugged each harness under the truck and in the engine bay again and verified they are plugged into the appropriate place. There are no visual signs of damage to any of the harnesses. I tried (3) different PCM's for the hell of it and got the same results with each - trans is the same, WTS light stays on, no tach and no oil pressure (or trans temp?). I have also tried another cluster and it did the same thing - but I haven't done that again today.
At one point I did have a bad fuse box in this truck. It had a burnt trace on the board and did not power the PCM fuse. With power jumped to the PCM fuse, it ran fine - but had all the same issues. The new/used fuse box solved the no PCM fuse power problem.
I will start a new thread for my obvious? electrical problem and start studying wire diagrams (makes my head hurt). Any advice on what wires to chase or harnesses to inspect closer will be greatly appreciated!!!
Still no luck with this. I have already pulled out what little hair I had left on my head. (The beard is still intact for now...)
I swapped in another neutral safety switch - no change.
Everything seems fine on the engine and all of the modules using IDS, except there is no communication between PCM and trans. The only codes are the 'indicator circuits' for WTS and WIF.
I'm going to try to dig the pinouts out of the wiring manual and see verify I have continuity between PCM and trans solenoids.
The truck is currently at the local PSD 'expert' and he is not finding anything wrong - except that it doesn't work. My customer has been very patient, but that will not last much longer. I have been looking at other trucks and may buy one just for the wiring harness, dash, etc if y'all can't help me figure this out.
