Turn signal dash light

Have a troubleshooting question for the turn signal indicator on the dashboard.

I have a 65 F250 with the custom cab instrument cluster. Until yesterday, the single green blinker would blink for both left and right turns. Now, it only blinks for left turns. When signaling for a right turn, I can hear the flasher clicking, and indeed, both the front and rear exterior turn signal lamps are working. But the blinker on the dash does not flash. When turning left, it does.

Is it the case that there are two lamps that share the same green blinker and one is dead? Or is it a problem possibly in the flasher relay itself?

Separate question: does the turn signal automatically cancel on these trucks? Mine has always required manual return to the middle position, but not sure if that is by design or if something is broken.

Thanks

looking forward to hearing an answer on this, i have the exact same situation. there is only one bulb which is obviously ok, and a different flasher didn't change anything, but i haven't really looked at anything in depth yet.

Yes the blinkers should cancel automatically. The blinker light switch has plastic ears that are activated by a cam under the steering wheel. Either the cam is missing or the plastic switch cancelling ears are broken off. My money is on the plastic ears or actuators being broken off. Not sure on the blinker light situation. I would have to trouble shoot it myself to come up with an answer for that one.
