Blinker Issue

I just started having this problem and I'm just wondering if it's as simple as a new bulb.. Anyways my left flash signal works fine on the left side front and back. However on the right side it flashes regularly on the back but on the front it flashes like the hazards when it's on. But it also used to work fine before so I'm wondering if the bulb is just dead or something but it flashes for the hazard.

Also the actual hazard switch is in the glove box so its not being engaged accidentally.

Cali, I can't quite get a problem out of your statement. Bulbs burn or they don't, turn signals & flashers both blink, turn signals just one side at the time.

The flasher can be getting weak & need replacing (not expensive), there could be dirt (corrosion) buildup in the bulb socket and need cleaning.

Do you want to adjust your post?

Yeah sorry. The left turn signal works like it should. When I engage the right turn signal however both fronts flash, but the right rear flashes as it should. So when right turn signal is engaged its like the hazards have been turned on in the front.

Let me know if I clarified it enough. Thanks.

There are two flashers behind the dash.

The T/S flasher (C5AZ-13350-B / Motorcraft SF-224) is mounted to the back of the instrument cluster.

The 4 way emergency flasher (D1FZ-13350-A / Motorcraft SF-552B) nestles into a bracket that's screwed to the dash adjacent to the radio.

Both flashers have 'two prongs' and look identical. But the 4 way flasher is a H/D unit, has a louder click.

The 4 way flasher can be used in place of the T/S flasher, but not vice versa.

The double filament parking/turn signal and taillamp bulbs are industry #1157 or #1157NA (amber) if the parking/turn signal lenses are clear.

There is nothing 'special' about these flashers, were used in myriad 1965/90's FoMoCo vehicles, are available from any autoparts store.

Bill usually leaves part numbers, maybe he will leave you some.

This is gonna be a hands on issue, but the first thing I would suggest is to pick up a new HD flasher from your favorite parts house, and go from there.

I edited the flasher part numbers into my post, but these are sooo common, every autoparts store will have them...the same two were used for decades, and on other make vehicles as well.
