I thought that all of my wheels where the same but this one is different.
Anyone know the years ford use this style. No obvious identifying marks.
It looks like a 15 x 6 rim.
Are the little ***** on the rim to hold a trim ring?
it looks like a typical 70's era 15" steel wheel. likely ford or kelsey hayes. center hole looks about the right size for ford. jeep . international would have had a larger center hole for the 4wd hub. i assume your other 3 are the "innie nub" style
I will run it by Walmart and have the tire removed. The hubcap mounts outside the wheel center. The three little bumps are unique. Maybe a wheel off of a piece of off road machinery or trailer?
This has me stumped too. This is an instance where the outer rim is the issue rather than the center disc. I find only one example of a rim having nubs along its ledge, but that wheel as a whole looks nothing like this one. But it does also have a 5 x 5.5" mounting circle. The wheel I found having the rim nubs is a trailer wheel. It's possible some application mated the rim I found with an automotive style center disc, but I don't find it in my references. Stu
Kelsey-Hayes made the wheels for Mercs and Lincolns of the era, and show the wheel profiles to be their "RB" style, which has the "outie" hub cap mounting. No rim nubs pictured. Stu
