The belt will NOT clean that up. We let the one on our blue truck get that way, from sitting for a couple months. The belt did NOT clean it up after driving it, it only turned the green-back belt brown with rusty gunk. I pulled the belt, spun the pulley and cleaned it up with a vibrating sander (80, then 240), then finished up with an old green dish scrubber. Did the same with the smooth idler on top. THEN when we drove it, the cleaned-up pulleys cleaned the gunk off the back of the belt.

Confirmed - 96-97 pump *does* bolt right up and work correctly on the 95 motor. It's also significantly cheaper and more powerful so there's no reason not to do it.
