Thanks to a post from another user They started another idea I am considering for my truck (I have been having vacumn pump issues for a while)
I am considering putting a permanent electric vacumn pump in my truck what kind of vacumn pressures does our stock pump pull at there very best? And does anyone think it would hurt anything if I go with an electric pump that pulls harder?
My pump pulls 25" Hg. I can't address an electric pump, but vacuum is vacuum wherever the source. The issue is would be the cost of a quality electric vs. a new or rebuilt belt driven pump, IMHO.
I know I posted this a few days ago and I am still really considering this (if I do it my old one which as far as I can tell at least halfway works) I am leaving it attached so if the e-vac pump fails I can hook up the mechanical or leave it hooked up with an air line ball check valve (to keep the e-pump from over vacking the mechanical) so it can help the e-pump or vise versa
