Just replaced my rear axle speed sensor and repair plug and now light is flashing on and off and that's why I replaced items from just less than 2 years ago replacements on my 1999 super duty. Is there a problem with these replacement parts ,is there any tricks to this???
The codes are not the problem! I am loosing the connection momentarily. Before I would have to wiggle plug at connector to get ABS light to go out and then I fooled around with pins in sensor and it would still go on and off. The new set causes light to flash on and off causing shifting problems also of course. I need to know what can be done other than cutting end off of sensor and hard wiring it!
Update ,found problem in crimp ,removed crimps and soldered connections. Still loosing connection intermittently, wiggle connector at sensor and it worked for a day or so.
For sensor problems if the sensor itself is not faulty, the culprit would be the wire. Loose connection will increase the resistance of the line your sensor is connected to resulting to erratic readings. Try to rewire the sensor line.

That is the problem ,how do you tighten the connection at the plug and sensor.
If the connector is loose then replacing it with a repair-oriented is the only option. IF the sensor receptacle is the cause of the connector being loose then it needs to be changed too.
Sometimes one or both parts of an automotive type electrical connector can be the cause of intermittent loss of continuity.
