If your truck still has the older type of Voltage regulator these where known for sticking points that would drain the battery over night.
They have a tall cap 2.5" cover on them and size is about 3"x3" square box mounted just right of the radiator passenger side on rad core support.
These will cause a pretty big spark when placing battery cable back on & off.
Also another area that can drain the battery is your brake lights not shutting off when truck is parked for the day are not staying on.
And lastly is the door jam cab light switches have been known to be shorted and draining battery.
