Is this engine worth rebuilding?
This is the ad for the engine:

I talked to the owner and he said it ran fine, but just burned oil. I'm assuming that just means it needs new rings and stuff.
For someone who has no experience rebuilding an engine would this be a project that is too in-depth? Also would it cost a fortune to rebuild?
The seller said he also had the exhaust manifold, intake and the carburetor for it.

For a 100 dollars thats a decent deal, as for rebuild cost well that depends on you and your machine shop costs they vary but here in Texas 350 to 450 for the head work the engine another 400 mind you this does not include parts.

I would buy them both - and a Ford shop manual. Think of it as a learning experience, not just an engine. Take yout time, read up and study the web sites, and enjoy the journey. Its your own private 'adult ed.' class.
