help?

I've got a 86 f150 inline 6 4spd. Sat for years without a touch till I saved her. I'm having trouble getting the engine to give a good turn. Anyone got a suggestion on why?

Try: Pull the plugs, pour a bit of MMO or some other cylinder top oil in the cylinders, let it sit for a bit and then use a breaker bar/socket on the crank nut and start working it back and forth until it moves freely.

Make sure the clutch disc has not rusted on the pressure plate/flywheel. Some discs - especially those containing sintered iron - will do that.

You should pull the fuel tank and get it boiled out or steam-cleaned, but at least replace all fuel filters and all the rubber fuel lines (gasohol degrades them), and blow out the hard lines. Then when you put fresh fuel in the tank, first mix in some 2-stroke oil, which will help give the poor engine a chance.
