First F150 help

Gday,
I am a Tasmanian who has moved to Georgia and looking to purchase a truck. Found one and wondering if anyone can give me a few tips.
She is a 1990 V8 automatic long bed F150 that is a one owner with 120000 on the clock. No rust and everything looks stock standard.
Would she be worth $1700?

Welcome to the forum! That's a very nice looking truck. For $1700, that's one hell of a deal. In my personal opinion I'd say go for it! Let us know if you have any issues or questions about it and most everyone here would be more than happy to help you out!

Looks for rot in wheel wells, and rad support where it connects to the frame.

Look at the dash where it shows gear selection. If it goes "PRND21" you have a C6, if it goes "PRNDD1" its an AOD.
This is important because if you're using the truck as a commuter, you'll want the AOD more than the C6. Either one is a good transmission for a commuter, but you'll want the AOD more, because you'll get better mileage. But if you're using it as a work truck or will be hauling loads, you're going to want the C6. AOD's are not known for their durability, but they're good for commuting because they have overdrive. They can be rebuilt to be more durable, but the C6 is a good transmission.

Help was much appreciated. She is home now and cruised along nicely at 60mph down the highway. Muffler seems a bit loud and she idles smooth enough. Looking forward to changing fluids and probably plugs.
I've always had diesel landcruisers so some learning for me.
She has the AOD thanks jerryparks.
Hope I'm allowed to put some pictures up here?
