I have a '99 SD and bought the mirrors for 2008

Is this the correct part to start with, to add the turn signal and heat?

I know that I will have to find a source circuit for the signal and lights but need to know the correct adapter.

 

99 SD do not have the wiring harness for heat or signals built in so the adapter you are buying will only work for the adjustment of the mirror itself. You will have to wire the heat directly to a switch or a wire that is constantly on. For the turn signals you will have to wire it directly to your wiring harness for your turn signals.

 

That is why I mentioned finding a source circuit. I intend to wire the inside cab stuff, myself.
I just need to find the other half of the connector, for the inside cab portion, if the adapters in the link are correct.

 

1. Where can I get the mating connector for this?

2. And will the adapter that I showed in my original post and the mating shell that
I need, allow me to then connect to my additional wiring in the cab?
