I have a '97 F-150 Flareside,extended cab. I am changing from the standard electric mirrors to the signal mirrors. These are a direct replacement from P. Muth who makes them for Ford. My question is whre do I tie in to the exhisting turn signal system to get power up to the signal in each mirror. I do not know if the harness is wired for this option. Some F-150's and Expeditions were fitted with the signal mirrors from the factory.

I see it in Muth's on-line doc:

"...A good ground location is located on the bare metal
plate behind the hood release lever.
The electrical wiring for turn signals is located under
the dash just below and left of the steering column.
Probe the wires first using the instructions below
before disconnecting the wire harness for splicing..."
