Here's a good question. My PO decided that rather then changing the A/C compressor, he simply cut stuff out and removed it without replacing it.

So my project is to replace the compressor, and everything else.. basically putting in a new system. However, I had a question and found the plug which I believe goes into the compressor, but next to it I found another set of wires... they are pink (orange) and light blue..




I was able to go and find where they leads and they end up here;



Is this for the AC? or are those two thing on the firewall or near it, for the ABS? I've got an ABS light on also...

 

those might be two vacuum lines that run to the front axle to pull the 4 x 4 in and out of gear.......... they run to the right fender well, down to the frame, across under the axle area to the pumpkin...

 

when I said 4 x 4 I mean the vacuum cylinder on the axle that pulls / pushes the arm inside and engages the driveshaft to the axle shaft.

 

True, could be, however my 4x4 work... or at least it did in winter. I was thinking this was more ABS stuff
