Maintenance questions
4r100 Transmission fluid checked with tyranny warm and in neutral correct? Also is it correct to check my 7.3 oil level when ice cold or after its completely warmed up and just turned it off? I've always assumed I'm doing it right but wanna see what the experts do?

Checking auto trans fluid level used to be done in neutral but I think manufacturers switched to checking it in park for safety reasons. I check mine when warm and idling in park.
I like to check my engine oil when cold like after sitting overnight. If I check it warm then I wait at least 5 minutes to make sure it has all drained back/settled to get a closer to accurate reading.
