I have a 1996 E350 7.3 with a E4OD trans with a blinking overdrive light. I had the codes pulled and I'll list them below. Van has 189,000 on it and when I bought it I drove it 3 hours home and the trans felt great. It ended up having a number of motor issues and sat without starting for a year. The motor issues are resolved to the point it runs ok but now the trans is in limp mode with the blinking light. Van hauls *** in reverse but not so much in drive. What happened while it sat, could it have locked up? Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, here are the codes that were pulled
You really should fix the engine codes before attempting to fix the trans. The TRS is showing an error. It is the sensor on the side of the trans. Either the sensor is bad or you have a bad wire to the sensor.
