fuel injectors

ok 2 questions. i found a thread on here before about how to clean injectors, i searched again and cany find it, can someone point me in that direction?



and second question can i use injectors off of a 1995 5.0 on a 1989 5.0 intake/ecu setup?

Look in Evan_P signature, real good writeup. Yes 95 injectors should fit, I think he has a lis of what fits there too.

my old ones are "pintle" style, new ones are 4 holes. and ive started the rebuild on them. ordered the rebuild kits

I used a 14.4 volt drill battery and a momentary switch.

I simply used a 9v battery connected to a pigtail from Pep Boys to open the injector, and a rubber hose pushed over the inlet- I then filled it with fluid, and used compressed air to blow it through with... I also blew backwards through it a few times after removing it from the cleaner tub...

does it matter +power to what side?

The injector should have a little "+" in a circle on the positive side...
