Having trouble remembering where this flat flanged washer goes on the front of 302 crankshaft. I just changed the timing chain on my 82 F100. Did this because coolant was leaking from timing chain cover and had the cover off to fix. Trying to put it back together, but confused about where this washer came from. Thought it went behind the fat washer and the wear pattern seems to agree, but it looks like its notched for a key and the key that holds the timing gear and vibration damper doesn't come out in front of the damper.
Figured it out. Looks like its an oil slinger that sits right in front of the crank chain sprocket. Would have figured it out sooner, but already installed the cover. Taking back apart this morning.
