Dealer called and say she fixed. Again. Sounded like a bad connection from the positive directly to the main fuse box.
So does that mean the ends weren't connected well, or the wire itself was compromised? Did they replace the wire?
Heat is a bad thing for copper wiring. The heat can travel quite a distance on the conductor and compromise the insulation from the inside in ways and places you cannot see.
Might be wise for you to test your fuse block voltage and compare to the battery voltage. A bad wire or connection can do strange things

Hopefully that is the end of your problems
They claimed it was debris in the connection to the fuse box.
Wire doesn't appear to have been replaced.
Finally got her home last night and will be pulling her into the garage ASAP to go through everything they did.
I have a 1996 with 7.3 that has no power to anything.
I went around with a test light looking for power and did not have 12 volts at the power distribution box by checking with test light from ground on batt to power wire connection going into power distribution box.
Is power wire lead a fuse able link?
I'm going to pull ground wires to engine and clean them to begin the process of tracing this problem. There is power to starter solenoid but nothing else works and nothing at all happens when key is turned on.
Jack, it sounds like you may have already narrowed your issue down. If you don't have voltage at the hot side of the power distribution box then you have lost continuity somewhere in that wire back to the battery. I would hunt that down first before worrying about all the ground straps.
Have power to everything now.
One caveat here. I have had to replace entire front harness as almost all of the wires were chewed on and beyond repair. Hooked up entire harness and have everything as right as I can think.
The issue now is it will crank but will not deliver fuel. Does this have an in tank fuel pump?
