Do you know anyone that has had a Cyclops for any length of time?
I've had 2 of them for about 4 years. One started to act up after about 3 years. Not complete failure, just acting up. Emailed the guy and described the symptoms and his response was, send in the relay and remotes and I'll swap it out.
No when did you buy it? No got a receipt? No excuses at all, just if it's broke, I'll take care of it.

The other one is still going strong.
Chris that is the kind of testimonial I like to hear and with what you just said about the company I have no issue with the price point. That kind of customer service makes it worth the cost. Besides even I could install this system without messing something up.
Rob you just put the Cyclops relay in where the stock IDM or PCM relay is under the hood in fuse box. Then keep the stock relay as a backup.
I don't have mine yet, but when I called, the man on the phone seemed very straight up.
As far as reliability issues are concerned it is more that just a simple "on - off" relay as it has some sort of software incorporated into it so that it knows if the ignition is on/off and if the engine is running or not ETC. But most electronic stuff is either good or bad from the get go, unless a lot of heat is involved.
It comes with a SIMPLE diagram that shows exactly which relay to swap. As mentioned....just keep your factory relay for any future need should there be an issue with it.
Well I finally got all 3 of my Cyclops in and installed about a month ago. Took all of about 2 min. Got one for my daughters edge, one for the F350 and one for the X. All 3 worked great for the first 2 days then the X started to have a rough running along with a CEL. So I removed it and installed the OE relay and its back to normal. I called Cyclops up and told him the problem and he said he's only seen this happen one other time and it was from being dirty inside the relay when it was put together. He promptly sent me another one with a return label to send the bad one back. I just installed the new one yesterday and all seems fine. I have to give Cyclops a hand for great customer service. I left him a message and within 15 min he called me back.
My father-in-law went to back the pontoon boat trailer up yesterday into the water while I waited in the boat to load onto the trailer and all I heard was the X just turning over and not starting and then realized I forgot to tell him to disable the cyclops. The wife went running and screaming up to the X to stop and tell him what to do. every once in awhile I forget to disable it myself. It works great.
Fetch this to the Surface again. I understand that this is a new Relais remote controlled and that's it. So it might work with a 77 F150 as well? Just pull starter relais and new ohne in?
Please give me a rough hint: Where is the starter relais of our trucks?
I don't know they have a similar location the the diesels but the 7.3 relays (some of them at least) are under the hood next to the left fender and firewall in their own covered box.
Cyclops will work with ANY vehicle (car or truck) that uses relays as it will replace a relay, it is up to you the owner to determine which relay needs to be replaced for best (optimal) effect
Another inexpensive way to do something similar is install a 12 volt relay under the hood that is powered up by the running lights. Interrupt the start wire and run it through the normally open contacts of the relay. Once the engine starts, you can turn off the running lights. No need for a separate switch. This works on any vehicle.
