Did anyone see pics of those poor fords down at that dealership that got flooded?
Hope everyone was alright.
Also heard there were a few Tornados down South.
Well, no damage at my place, even the trees look okay. I did see some flooded cars, but I didn't see anything from a dealership.
Looks like I'm not moving, the guy who's house I was buy accepted another offer, and since I can't afford both homes, I let my offer expire. Never did get an offer on my current house.
Ah well, smaller mortgage payment is probably a good thing in this economy, and I really do like this house, so staying isn't really that bad at all. May still try to move sometime before my youngest gets into school. Would be nice to live close to the school. But I've got a couple years to figure that out.
Plan to spend the weekend in town, not doing anything exciting. Sounds really nice.
Well I finally made it home for a weekend and turned my computer on as for me I am doing ok just starting to hate the wait my work is making us do for our "re-org". Hope you had good luck selling your house and moving into the new to you house. As for everyone else hope the oil has treated you well. I can not believe how many holes they are punching into the ground in SW Sask. As for a meet up by Edmonton if we could coordinate a meet on one of the cheer weekends then you could count me in.
To bad about the house, but with this economy and the new government in Ottawa come October you may be better off where your at 77. I feel old saying that lol.
Fixed the neighbors tree and got 2 more small jobs courtesy of the city inspector tagging a few trees in the hood, got to remediate a beautiful weeping birch that got mangled, been admiring the tree for 6 years. Had to put the gantry on hold for 2 weeks or so as I'm getting backed up on a few other must do projects, sure am getting tired of this weather even though we need the rain. Gantry is almost done though. Idiot neighbor drove through a bunch of puddles with his Cherokee and filled his motor with water, his brother thinks/knows he's a idiot also. The fool gets to fix it himself with what ever idiot help he can find, guess the drunk next door and his expert mechanic friends have a job. Severely lol on him.
Saskatchewan is getting new holes in the ground and its not in the bakken field?, must be nice for them.
Headed out for five days of camping tomorrow. Getting the trailer loaded up with beers tonight. Based on the forecast, will have to head over to Cranbrook to get some dry weather, but that's OK, I like it out there.
See you gents later.
Nice little time down at Moyie Lake. Had some terrible winds on the way back yesterday afternoon near Brockett all the way up to Okotoks. Still, made it alive.
I had never noticed it before, but eastbound on Highway 3, just before 22, there is warning sign for "Extreme High Wind" and a digital readout of current wind speed. It was showing 67 km/h when I passed it, so I kept going. Figured I'd rather deal with high winds on a divided highway than on that narrow 22.
Pulling a 27' TT with a half ton is fine for hills and stopping and passing, but in windy conditions, I really wish I had a heavier truck!
I'm surviving. I spend most of my time complaining about the smoke. I hear BC is going to get some rain, I hope it knocks some of the particulates out of the air. Not to mention, I think everywhere could use the moisture in the soil and in the rivers and lakes.
Spending some time in the next month out at lake Windermere and Mara/Sushwap lakes.
