Wired engine noise at start up
The last couple of times I have started my truck it has made a hollow popping kind of sound for a couple seconds but is giving no other issues next time I start It tomorrow I will try and record it if I remember

Mine did this two or three times after changing the oil, just on startup. I made a thread but didn't get many hits. I tried to record it but it must have been camera shy lol. Since i took my last trip (187 miles at 3200rpm) it seems to have stopped doing it.

I found some videos on YouTube of sticking valves kinda sounded like it but not exactly then again one was a n/a van with no air cleaner and the other was a truck with the hood opened so as far as I can tell it was close enough it is time for an oil change anyway so I will throw in some atf and run it a few days then drop the oil and see if it makes a difference
