Temp Gage help

Alright guys after a lot of time scrubbing thru threads I cannot discern a solid answer. I need help. I have a 95 F250 5.8L 4X4. The temp gage is not working and I was going to replace the temp sending unit. My confusion is that they (sender and sensor) both look to be the same. So which one do I change? I have one on the driver side n the intake and one by the thermostat housing in line on the heater line. Both are two wire units and look to be identical. I was hoping someone could shed some light on this so I don't have to try to swap one at a time. I don't like driving my truck with no temp gage. Any help is GREATLY appreciated. Thanks.

The 2-wire sensor by the intake is the ACT (Air Charge Temp) sensor. The other one is the ECT sensor.

There should a one wire sender near the #5 runner and that is for the dash gauge.
