Help with ATC temp sensor
Help with ATC temp sensor
Having a problem with my '97 EB with auto temp control.
Seems most of the time I have to set the temp up to 78 or so to get a the right temp in the truck. Heat comes out fine, just seems the temp on readout has to be set well above actual inside temp.
Is this a bad inside temp sensor? Anyone ever have to change this out? Hopefully the unit itself is not the problem.
No codes were shown on self test of unit.
Thanks for any help.

if you want to verify your actual temp., get a meat thermometer and put the probe in your dash vent . its a real cheap check . your temp reading has a lot to do with outside air . if its cold outside , the air in your heater may be 78 but by the time it gets in you cab it has dropped, good luck, bob
