The C6 is larger. I don't have actual dimensions.

Ford C4 & C6 Automatic Transmissions

Franklin2 (Dave),What is the Spline count on the output shaft on the Ford C4 & C6 Automatic Transmissions or do you have any idea,Because I'm going to use a Strange Engineering 32-Spline Transmission Yoke w/1480 U-Joints for the COAN Racing C6 Automatic Transmission in behind the FORD/Jon Kaase 829 cubic inch(BOSS 829) Mountain Motor,That's why I was looking for the O.A.L. (Over-All Length) on 1-Piece & 2-Piece Driveshafts for 1980-'86 Ford F-100/F-150 w/ 6-3/4' StepSide (FlareSide) Bed,I'm naming the 1980-'86 Ford F-100/F-150 w/ 13-1/2' Tandem Axle Pro Street' StepSide (FlareSide) Bed "OLE MOUNTAIN"

I changed the color of the type, as it was very hard to read.

C4's were not installed after 1981, output shaft is basic part number 7060

Here's the 1980/89 C6 info:

From what I am reading c6's had a 31 spline output. But since you are buying a super duper tranny, you will have to ask them what they are putting in it. Same with the driveshaft length. All custom means a all custom shaft, you will have to get it all setup and mounted, and the shaft will be the last thing you have made. You will have to measure it.

Maybe if not black then try using dark green text.
I have read where it is the easiest on the eye medically.

Tricky, it snows so much on that island you live on, you probably couldn't read the text unless it was typed in fire engine red.

Black is the easiest color to read, so why type in blue .. green or whatever?

BroncoDually: I'm the one that complained about the color, and posted the parts catalog pics, t'wasn't Dave.
