difference between c5 & c6

can anyone tell me the difference between a c5 and c6. i have a c5 that i want to put behind a 351w that i am going to put in my 54 f100 would this be a good move or do i need to get a c6. i also have a late model ford aode\w a guy gave me. thought about putting it in i know i will have to buy an aftermarket computer for it. tell me what yall think

a c6 is much stronger than the c5 but also a bit heavier. it is longer and has an integral bellhousing which means you have to get a c6 that originally came from a SB motor. i would just do the c5 for the street though.

A C5 is just a C4 with some internal modifications and a different valve body. I think the C4 is a better transmission than C5 but the C6 is much stronger when both are stock.
