There were 100 vehicles recalled to my knowledge. Even if there had been more (and there will be more most likely), Ford recalls just about anything to CYA these days. My 1995 had a recall because the cruise control circuit wasn't fused from the factory and killed a few people by causing house fires. I haven't seen anyone avoid them because of that.... Not saying issues aren't possible, but there hasn't been anything to cause concern at this point. No other half ton comes close to the F150 specs.
I might have a tailgate one. Tried to open the step the other day so my wife could get up in the bed to help load come bricks, and the button did nothing it went in very far but didn't unlock the step so I could pull it out, later it worked, this morning it didn't. I'll play with it later after I install my under the rear seat storage tray which should be delivered today.
So far, make sure you have your key close to the tailgate if the truck is locked.
Had the key in my pocket, truck was unlocked. I played with it today most of the time pushing the button about a half inch unlocks the step. But sometimes the button goes in 2" and the step doesn't unlock.
For the record laying the paving bricks for her car parking spot was her idea not mine. So I was able to get her to help on this project of hers. I bet she did close to 10% of the work!!! But the stacking of the 440 bricks in the truck was a really big help. We did it in 4 trips to the store.
My 2015 Lariat had the whistling problem. Driver's door had to be re-aligned slightly. See if a dollar bill slips between the rubber molding easily in any spots when the door is closed. This might be where the wind is coming through when rolling.
I've been hearing a wind noise coming from the front end of my truck as well. It sounds like a gusting of wind which you can almost feel in the steering wheel. You won't notice it until about 60 mph. This is just one of several other noises I've been hearing. There is a slight clunking noise coming from the twin-panel moonroof, the drivers door rattles when going over small bumps, and there's a sneak coming from the rear door or drivers side rear seat area. Not only that, but the daytime running lights quit working even though they are activated on the in dash display advanced settings. Oh yeah, and several times now the AC has quit working.
My 2015 platinum with 1200 miles is very quite . In fact I think it's the quietest truck I have ever owned.
Ours is most definitely the quietest truck we've ever owned. I consider our late-model Tacomas "fairly quiet"; not stellar, but it's easy to carry a phone conversation over Bluetooth, and the people I talk to say the sound is clear, with almost no background noise.
That said; our earlier model (2005) Tundra was the previous "quietest". When we had it, we jokingly referred to it as "The Lexus".
However, the 2015 F-150 is even more quiet than the Tundra. I'm really impressed, and that's saying something.
I would say no more of a problem than any other vehicle I've seen in a fire. Fiberglass melts down, and while steel may not melt down; it's not particularly usable as a vehicle any longer.

I ordered a new one bout a week ago and am anxiously awaiting its arrival. I got MAX TOW, thanks for the info...
