The last time I wanted to learn how to weld, the VA was going to pay for the classes. Problem was, I could not get into any of them, they filled up fast. Mostly to returning students who got first choice. I may try again to take the classes, but will have to wait until I get into my own place.
Went for an awesome ride in a 1929 Ford Tri Motor today.
That's really cool, Andy!
Any more vids?

True, it does take having a GTG in order to be able to attend, but it really isn't all your fault, Jim. The NorCal region is bigger than some states, and there's no large metropolitan area like SoCal has, so we're a bit spread out.
I have not heard of CalGuns.net until you mentioned it Stewart. I bought my last gun from a local gun store, but will try a different one when I decide to buy more ammo. If I can find any that is. LOL.
No Stewart. What are you looking at? How about a local gun shop?
I prefer to buy used because I don't want to pay the price for a brand new gun, especially when there are some really good quality, used guns available.
I've always wanted a compact Glock .45 to go with my full-size Glock .45, so I'm looking at a Glock 30S. I also wanna grab a nice Remington 870 shotgun, so I've been lurking over at CalGuns.
I just picked up a Colt .38 Army Special for the wife from a local gunsmith, but he doesn't really carry new guns, mainly just consignment guns.
Because The Peoples Republik of Kalifornia doesn't believe in the 2nd Amendment of the Constitution of the United States, they exert a form of gun control by making almost all handguns illegal to import into California from another state. If the gun manufacturer doesn't pay to have their handgun listed on The Roster (DOJ website) then it's illegal to buy a handgun from out of state and have it imported into California.
I learned this the hard way when I tried to buy a gun at GunBroker.com That's when I learned about CalGuns.net
If the gun is already in California legally, it's considered a private party sale so the DOJ website doesn't apply. Both parties just do the legal transfer of ownership through a licensed FFL.
What No Man Town that Suxs , haven't heard of Cal Guns, why would you want DOJ to know your Biz , never mind Law Bidding Citizen that I am. In Nevada at the yearly gun show's they can do the Transfer then My Father in law did it. we all need to fight for our 2nd amendment guys.
That sux that Andy had to move. Also sux that Kalifornia is making it hard to own a handgun. Although, according to that website, there are 811 handguns on the list, so we should be able to find something we like.
Happy Humpeth Day Nor Cal FTE and friends. Hope everyone has a great day.
Just checked my bank balance and my very first disability payment has arrived. Needless to say I am a happy camper. Going to try and get my power chair fixed today.
Well today was a rather expensive day. However, I was able to get my power chair fixed, and bought two brand new batteries for it since my old batteries were so worn out, I could barely go a mile before they were dead. Also got to drive a 2015 GMC pickup I rented from U-Haul to get the power chair up to the repair shop.
Now the chair works, and according to the tech I should get up to 15 miles on a single charge. I was never able to do that before even when I had just bought the chair. However, I have no idea how old the batteries in the chair were when I got it, and I got it two years ago. so if these batteries last two years I will be happy, especially considering how much they cost. LOL.
