Pat; I can't speak from any experience, But cosmetically I like the smaller ones, big enough to function well but not distracting. The single arm mirrors on my truck don't shake but they are bolted to the frame work around the window and door. Where that one may just be attached to the door skin? If thats the case, with your skills you could beef the back side up.
Hey Pat, those mirrors that you have on there are great. Big enough that you can see and small enough to look cool.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking!

Yeah, stability is a concern. I know on the mirrors on that truck, he used a hard rubber block to make a mount stand, and also had a backing plate. I'll have to ask if they are stable, but I think he's had no problems with them. The doors right now had those mirrors on the truck behind them, but they don't fit right, the brackets aren't the right length, and they are tilted. So, I'll have to make sure and get them nice and stable, I've got an idea for a good sized backing plate to firm them up......Hopefully.....LOL
Greg, dang man talk about *****ty luck! Let me know if I can do anything to help out.
Pat, if you do use the 92-96 mirrors be sure to use the factory brace.
It has to go in a very specific place to clear the window track on one side and the window crank on the other.
1) I didn't want to cut holes in my doors
2) I didn't want the mirrors that far forward, I wanted them inline with the vent window frame.
If you use the factory brace I understand they are super stiff, same as they would be on 92-96 truck.

Dave, thanks man. Things are being handled with the carb, and I plan to get new shoes this weekend. Next I think I will get new tubes for the bike just in case. You know how it is, sometimes the sheer frustration of it just gets to much.
Hey Theodore, are you ever in or around Vegas? I would love to see that fridge of yours once the A/C is complete.
Pat, how did you guys weather the funnels? I hope you were not in the areas hit.
Jim, only one more day! Glad the time is finally here for you man.
Donna, thanks for helping get the # issue resolved.
Happy Taco Tuesday Nevada FTE and friends. Hope everyone has a great day.
Greg, yeah I can hardly wait. I have reserved a Ford F-150 from U-Haul for tomorrow so I can take the power chair to a local repair shop. They want $65 to come out and look at it, but only $10 if I bring it to them. Even with the cost of the F-150 I still would save money. Of course, not knowing what the problem is, the tech said the repair bill could be as high as $400! Or it could be something simple. A new controller is $400, but he says he might have a used one that will work if indeed that is the problem. If he tells me $400 though, I may just spend an extra $100 and buy one used off of CL. Or sell this one to him and buy one from him if he will accept payments.
