Goodmorning & Happy Mothers Day.
Greg- I hope your feel better soon.
My eyes are doing better. Thanks for asking. I dont go back for another 6 months.
Have a great day everyone.
Damn one sore foot is bad, both is not good at all! Hope your feet heal up quick and straighten out the carb problems, or you will have to brake down and buy some new shoes.
I do understand the scenario, the other day I lost track of time and really had to hustle to pick-up my grandson,(couple minutes late) glad i didn't have to walk.
New shoes are no longer on the waiting list and have been moved up in priority. I have to wait on my feet to heal before I can shop for shoes though. My feet are very picky about what they are comfortable in, so I don't think swollen, blistered, and sore would be the best time. I am thinking later this week or next weekend on the shoe shopping.
The carb will get worked out one way or the other eventually. Good thing I have the old one to use and I am not without the truck whilst working it out.
Yeah, hopefully just thunderstorms, and no twisters. Probably a good plan with the feet, Greg, You're going to have to stay off of them for a few days.
So, since you own a bump, I need your opinion. I've been trying to figure out what mirrors to put on the truck. I didn't want the big stock ones, something smaller, but not as small as the little ones you could get like the Mustangs. One of the guys in Wyoming has these on his truck ( a crewcab, no less! Love this truck!), they are from a 92-96 -150, what do you think? (Wally, you can chime in on this too)
Ditto that! Needle and seat valve is closed by the float. Might be some crap in the valve. Or a hole in the float, then it sinks in the bowl and fuel goes everywhere.
Also, with the engine off, use a little flashlight and check the throttle plate position when you have that fast idle. If it is not fully closing you should be able to figure why. If that leads to nothing, consider a giant vac leak, like a brake booster hose coming off. Only thing that will make it idle too fast is excess air going into the motor.
Sorry about your feet hombre, that is crippling! Hate pain, don't you?
Pain I can deal with. I am not complaining, but explaining the situation. I can function, I just move a little slower right now. I did what I had to do for my minion in the situation I was given. All I can do now is move forward and heal. Complaining doesn't help or fix anything.
Pat, as fa as the mirrors, I prefer the ones like on the dent that is on the trailer. The ones on the bump (man I love that crew cab) are very hard to stabilize. Dave has similar on his dent bronco and even after bracing that are very shaky in my opinion.
