Can anyone tell me where to get the small metal inserts for attaching badges/emblems.
It is time to put my emblems/badges back on my 78 F150. But I damaged and lost the metal inserts that go into the holes in the body into which the badges/emblems attach.

When these emblems were available from Ford, they came with the barrel clips. I looked in Carpenter's 1967/79 catalog, he also supplies the barrel clips with the emblems.
There are several different sizes, automotive paint supply stores, where body shops buy their supplies could have them.
Bronco graveyard sells the clips without the emblems if needed. They list them for different emblem locations but I think they are all the same. Search barrel clips on their site and you will find them...
Yeah my question too is if you can easily put the new emblems on without difficultity because you guys say the new inserts are plastic? Are they durable? Remember Im young give me a break
I just installed 2 NOS F-250 emblems that had 1 insert and 2 speed-nut or pal nut, whatever you call them. The shanks can be reached from the underside of fender. The barrel insert went in the hole closest to the cab.
On the 73 to 74 or 75 yes they are bolted to the fenders well below the cowl. On the 77 to 79 they are push in mounted in the cowl and in the plastic barrel inserts that are also just push in installed.
