Ok, everybody who said they are in and for those who are still on the fence.
We are scheduled to make our purchase from July 8th-10th. You can order online or by phone. it's important that you tell RHS that you are part of the Ford-Truck forum group buy. If you order online you will still need to contact RHS via email or phone and let them know that you ordered and are part of the Ford-Truck forum group buy.
If your name is not on the list, don't worry. You can still get the discount as long as you purchase during the specified buying dates and you mention that you are part of the Ford-Truck forum group buy.
Sorry for the slow communication this weekend. Drove the family to San Diego for a 4day weekend. I'll be sending PM's out to everyone this week.
perfect timing, since im leaving for a week at the end of the month...MAMMOTH FISHING....anyway, whats the damage going to be($$$). I dont feel comfortable, twisting the "adjusting" nut atop the stock box, and is this a "send core back when replaced"....
The exchange cost is $356 normally, but with the group buy it should be at least $50- $80 less depending how many boxes are actually sold in those 3 days...
And yes, there's a core charge 'till you send your old box back in.
I'm in for 2 also, my 96 f150 that I bought new and my X!

we have over 40 confirmed buyers, so we should see $60 discount for a gearbox costing over $300. if your gearbox is less than $300 then the discount is $50
Another bump. I ordered mine today. No problems at all. The gentleman knew what I was talking about, set up return shipping and said that my box might be here by Friday or at least by Monday. I am in N. Cal though. They won't know exactly about the actual discount until all of the orders come in and will then be credited on the core return amount.
I still have to crawl under Stinky and count the teeth on the shaft thingy that attaches to the arm. This is an opportunity to try out my new "Bonester" (flatter and less-expensive version of the Dog Bone). I might get all silly and make a speed run to Seattle and pick mine up, but I doubt the hours work out.
FYI, I tried to count the splines and with my vision and the part being rusty it was hard to see. I ended up spraying some silver paint on it and very easy to see now.
so with having a L99, its a hit/miss with the amount of teeth/ Is their a guarentee of of the amount of teeth at said years/ Buddy, whos across the states, wants one, however, i cant get to the truck...03 cc 4wd ?
From what I understand after a certain build date they are all 36 splines but not positive on the date. The man at Redhead seemed very knowledgeable on thin. FWIW 2001 and on are 36. From a picture I saw of the 36 spline version it is in three sets of 13 equally spaced around the circumference with a small gap in between, the other I believe is in continuous splines around the shaft, but not positive on that one.
I would call them, they will know and if not you can change the pitman arm out if you guess wrong. No big deal on the pitman arm, they are pretty simple to change out
My 4X4 hardware wouldn't let me see the end of the shaft, so I counted the teeth between the spaces ABOVE the Pitman arm. I had a clean view, once I blasted it with carb cleaner and a wire brush. Count them several times, the light can play tricks on your eyes. The grease that was in there made the tooth count look like 8, but cleaning the teeth made it clear the tooth count was 9.
