check engine light/odometer dashed lines
Hi,
I am having issues with my 07 ranger 2.3L . Check engine light comes on and odometer reads dashed lines. it comes and goes and other lights are going crazy while driving down freeway. if i turn it off with the engine light on it wont start unless i bump start it. i dont know where to even start with this. if anyone can help that would be awesome.

Welcome to FTE.
Begin by having the vehicle computer/s scanned for trouble codes & post All code Number clues. Most autoparts stores can & will scan the engine computer for trouble codes at no cost. If other computers have codes, you'll need a higher end scantool to access & extract code clues from the vehicle other controllers/computers, like discussed here. https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...-scantool.html
Otherwise you'll have to have a garage or Dealer do it with their high end scantool & their charge will likely cost Way more than the ELM scantool that you can use to do it yourself.
Some thoughts for pondering, let us know how it goes.
