So I had a loose flywheel issue a little while back and I'm trying to reinstall it
Two bolts don't line up. I used a dead battery micrometer to measure( I locked it in place and moved it around)
four bolts line up fine and have the same distance between then. Then the other two have a bigger gap between then, which makes them closer to the other two.
Are all straight sixes like that? Or did I some how fudge up my crank?
Neither me nor my dad having issues putting it in awhile back.
My flywheel has this part number on it, but I can't find it anywhere. Pht714-072510
It's in a 85 f250 with a zf5. The flywheel came with a zoom clutch and all kinds of other stuff I got in a package deal, but I don't recall having issues putting it in before, else I'd have ordered one.
One bolt hole is offset so a balanced flywheel can only be installed one way, so that the balance holes/weights remain clocked in the correct place. Same bolt pattern as all small block Ford pushrod V8s.
