I've been waiting on buying parts for the Conroe Swap Meet and of course the weather did nothing but rain for all 3 days. There was about 10% of the normal people there and half of them barely unloaded their trailers :/. I was hoping to pick up some random parts and have a better direction on where I was gonna start first but oh well I guess I'll start with most expensive and work my way down.
I did pick pick up an engine hoist for a decent price so I'll start pulling the motor sometime this week or next, then on to craigslist to try find a replacement. A 300 would be my first choice but I'm not confident I'll find one. I did a very quick search and a 302 or 351 should be pretty easy to get at a decent price. We'll see.
Pulled the frozen straight 6 and gave it away for scrap. Got lucky and found a nice guy who had a few parts trucks and was able to get a few things I've needed. Hood, driver's fender, tailgate and a 360.
Everything was very fairly priced so I feel like I did pretty good. I haven't had a chance to thoroughly check out the 360 yet but it was supposed to be running before it was parted out. I won't have much time this week to mess with anything but I've got lots of research and parts to play with now, especially since the 360 wasn't an option for 67. Hope I didn't open up a can of worms.

1967 was a 352 FE with a C/m trans IF A/T. Replaced by the 360 FE with a C6 IF A/T. But looks like you have a 240/300 3 speed M/T right now. So motor mount stands will be the same. 240/300/352/360. And if your 1967 was built after ser #B12,001 the tranny crossmember and mount would be the same if you put a M/T behind the 360.
gotcha. I set the 360 in for a quick look and it seems like I may need a different oil pan. The 360 has a front sump and I think it's gonna be hitting the cross member when it's all bolted up.
Does the 352 use a rear sump? I assume it would have the same bolt pattern as the 360.
The pan sits close any way, and puts the oil drain plug in a hard to reach placement. The 4wd pans are the only rear sump pans 6qts with side pan dip sticks..
