I've been searching for a 57-72 truck for a while with a 67 f100 being my first choice. I found a really neat 57 International and told the guy I wanted it and agreed on a price. I was going to leave to get my trailer and saw this old 67 F100 and immediately knew I was buying this one.
It's a Two owner truck with the last title change was in '74, last registered in '75. No rust through on the body or cab. Has a hole in the bed, but nothing major. Has a really nice interior considering it probably hasn't moved in 40 years. Motor is toast (has a hole in the valve covers) but that's ok.
Gonna go for a budget build and since all the cool kids are doing Patinas and that fits a budget build, I'll just be clearing it after a clean up. Haven't decide between Dream Beams or CV front end. I'll just flip the springs in the back. Need to locate a motor and 4 speed top loader. Most likely gonna do disc fronts and leave the rear alone. New windshield, fuel lines and brake lines of course and HOPEFULLY that'll be the gist of it.
I'll try to post updates since I've really enjoyed looking over everybody else's. I'll be seeing y'all around!
Some sort of crane rigging maybe? Kinda cool, gonna leave it.
Had some time to push it out today and give it a good wash down. Scraped up several 5 gal bucket loads of composted leaves from the bed. My boys like being dump trucks ha.
I was surprised at how much came off with just the rough side of a wash mitt. I'm gonna do a full on wet sand on it but I'll wait till I'm ready to clear it right after. I dried it off real well with towels/shamis/blower/several hours of sun to prevent anything from getting worse.
I've got a better idea of what I'm dealing with body wise now and I'm overall happy with it
I can't resist. "You could be a redneck if".....Your pickup truck's been sitting out back behind the barn so long the chrome hitch ball's totally rusted.
What kind of engine are you thinking. You can also look at crown suspension if you want budget get the 3 in drop and have your I beams bent to alignment. I might be going that route myself.

My heart isn't really set on a certain engine. I'd like to get a mild v8 (maybe 302 or 360) but I'd be perfectly fine with another straight 6. Not looking for a hot rod just something to cruise around in and enjoy.
I think I'll probably end up at the crown vic swap but I am a little nervous. People make it seems relatively easy and that's my concern. I can't help but think it's quite a bit more than centering, bolting, a few welds and then you're done! But I'll probably attempt anyways Cheaper than drop beams and you get quite a few other creature comforts along the way.
If your don't have a good welder and know how to weld good and keep things square.
Then you better put it on the back burner until you feel well skilled.
I'm not for that conversion by butchering up the frame, but hey it's your truck.

Orich
2X Orich. Mines a F250 but if I had a F100 4X2 I'd do the drop beams. There are quite a few on here with the beams that I really like their stance. Many examples but 2 of them are Trozei's and Williamwillam's.
I've been very back and forth on which suspension I'll do but it'll be a bit before I get to that stage. I do cringe thinking of cutting up structural members.
Had a chance to clean up the interior a bit the past couple of days. I hoped to get more done but of course my 05 Scab had a caliper lock up :/. At least it was cheap to do.
I used some 1500 grit and wet sanded the surface rust and the dash came out pretty good. I saved my vents from the dash pad but still need to clean em up quite a bit.
The seat is in pretty good shape except for 2 tears 2-3" each. Anybody had any luck repairing them? I also found some random junk in the glove box ha(before it disintegrated when I pulled it out).
