Title says it all come to a stop, step on throttle nothing, let off and step on it again it goes, does some one have to be killed before Ford knows there's a problem, it's happened to me 3 or 4 times in the last month, dealer checked said there's no codes so nothing wrong. OK I forgot the good info 2014 eco screw 4X4.
All turbocharger systems have a lag in response. Some are worse than others. Turbo engineers have tried all sorts of turbo designs to eliminate lag. But, lag is nature of the beast. Yu=ou have to generate sufficient exhaust flow to spool up the intake side of the turbo. Air gets heated up in the process so it has to go through an intercooler on its way to the intake.
So plan ahead on your need for additional rpm/power.

What a stupid reply. The OP certainly knows the difference between "normal" and "nothing." Give the guy a little credit!
The pedal is actually connected a pedal position sensor, and this is a fly-by-wire deal, so I'd get down there and make sure the connection to the pedal sensor isn't loose. If the connection isn't loose, and all looks well down there, the sensors have failed in other vehicles. Either get a spare and stuff it in your glove box/console with the relevant tools, or wait for it to fail hard and have Ford fix it if it's under warranty still.

Pretty much.... the turbos on these trucks are so small there is no turbo lag. Any lag that is felt on a properly running truck is "drive by wire" throttle lag. A good custom tune will eliminate any DBW lag.

Hi duckman903,
Did you take your tech on a test drive so you can demonstrate this for them? If not, I recommend that as a next step. What's the current mileage on your truck?
At my dealer if they don't see a code they won't send a tech out, and this is not about turbo lag, it's about no response on throttle application.
I think I have the same symptom you are describing. Does it mainly happen when you stomp the throttle from a very slow speed, like leaving a stop sign? I ask because I have had several instances of that on my truck (2014 SCREW 4X4 with 2,160 miles on the clock). If I stomp on the gas from a stop, or a slow roll, it will react as if i haven't even pushed on the gas. I mean, not turbo lag, but absolutely no response, as if I hadn't even pushed the pedal. I've learned that I just can't stomp on the gas, but rather I have to ease into the throttle. I don't know if this is just the way it is, or something is not right with my truck.

Excellent point. I'm kind of used to Turbo vehicles and found over the years that it is better to accelerate at an accelerating rate as you described above. It just seems normal to me now. If I remember I'll try stomping on the gas to see what happens.

I don't think I'd be saying anything a marine from TEXAS said is stupid!
But, he surely does know about his problem I reckon.
Talk about lag, I drove a new GMC 5.3 Sierra 4x4 yesterday just to be open minded. Man, that thing didn't want to move when ye put heel to steel. Anyway, I hope ye get'er fixed soon, duck.
Info on resetting the throttle position sensor from another site:
turn key on, wait for dinging to stop, a few seconds, push throttle pedal slowly to the floor, then let off quickly, turn key off. Repeat this two more times. It's supposed to reset the throttle response. Folks have posted that it has helped their issues - may or may not work for you - YMMV but worth a try.
