Hey! It's been a while since we've seen an update from you. How are things? Did you get the vibration figured out?

Rear Blocks

So, I know I am a 100% Noob here. I also don't even own an X yet. However, I do work for a suspension company. You said you had the thick side of your Tapered rear blocks, toward the front of the X, right? On spring over axle suspensions, the short side goes toward the front.
" Install the new block, jack up the axle to meet the new
block and make sure the center pin is in the axle. See
Photo 5. Note short side of block goes towards front
of vehicle
."

Ok, rereading I see you had the shim thick side forward, not the block. So you basically made a flat(er) block.

Hey Hey...Sorry for the absence!

I've been enjoying the Burnt Marshmallow. Finally was able to pull my 35' travel trailer camping and it did very well. Obviously the low end grunt was missing (with 3.73 ratio), but all-in-all it was great. I may need to run some airbags...as I think my tongue weight is a bit more than 12% of the overall weight of the trailer (9000lbs loaded). She squats, but not more than .5-1" negative rake. I would prefer no squat.

The vibration is still there. I'm thinking its a surface finish issue with a spider gear/s in the rear axle. I was not able to hear/feel it while towing my trailer.

I still haven't bought any wheels/tires yet. The cost of 20's with good tires is laughable.

Thanks for the nudge to jump back online. I will be present more often now that things are settling down with kids sports and school.

Awesome! I am looking at a gear replacement for mine, towing my last load to southern Utah went well, but I think it could be better

The vibration was Burnt Marshmallow telling you it wants to work

How long did you go out camping, and where did you go? Unless it's a secret
