I never saw any excursions with LEDs in the running boards. Today I found out why. Standard led bulbs do not fit. Had to make them fit. Out of four lights, only one was easy and without corrosion. One light socket had to be rewired.
Took my brother and I a good 1-2 hrs.
I used these, I also had to rewire one side because it was shorted out and had melted the housing almost completely. Pretty easy to replace and fit perfectly
I used the same that agsmv1 has, 10 min for all 4, another 10 to add on the led strip to light the running board. I had the larger ones from another project, WAY too deep, with the led pressed against the lens, the design of the lens itself is wasted.
